How to Use Gua Sha for Your Face in a Few Simple Steps

Step 1: Start with Clean Skin

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.

Apply a facial oil or serum to help the Gua Sha glide smoothly.

Step 2: Hold the Gua Sha Correctly

Use a gentle grip and hold the tool at a 15-45 degree angle against your skin.

Step 3: Follow the Right Motions

Neck: Sweep upwards from the collarbone to the jawline.

Jawline & Chin: Glide from the center of your chin outward toward your ear.

Cheeks: Start at the nose and move outwards toward the temples.

Under Eyes: Gently stroke from the inner corner of the eye toward the temples.

Forehead: Move from the eyebrows up toward the hairline.

Step 4: Repeat Each Motion 5-10 Times

Use light to medium pressure—it should feel relaxing, not painful.

Step 5: Finish & Clean Your Tool

Wipe your Gua Sha with a damp cloth or wash it with mild soap.

Apply your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration.
